Kids get home before you do.
You want to know they made it. You want to see the door on your phone. That is what a doorbell camera is for.

Here at One Sound Choice, we install a Ring doorbell camera.
Ring is the doorbell we put on a lot of Northern Jersey homes. First we look at your door. Then we pick the Ring that fits it.
Power at the button is its own job.
Some doors have power. Some doors have none. Some have the wrong voltage. Our team checks that on the porch. You do not have to guess.
The chime inside the house is a different job.
The Ring has to ring inside, not only on your phone. That means the old chime has to work with the new doorbell. That is a separate check.
Wi-Fi at the front door is a different job.
The camera sits at the door. Wi-Fi that works in the living room may not reach the porch. Our team checks the signal where the camera will live.
TVs and sound are the rest of the house.
One Sound Choice also does televisions and audio. The doorbell is often how people meet our team. You can ask about TVs and sound later.
A Ring floodlight camera is not a doorbell.
Days are getting shorter. A Ring floodlight camera is a different product. It lights the area and records.
Places people ask about
It is a camera with lights. It is not the doorbell at the front door.
The garage and the backyard get dark.
A floodlight camera helps you see those spots after dark. It also needs strong Wi-Fi out there.
What does the alert look like when the kids get home?
Your phone buzzes. You tap it. You see your kids at the door with their backpacks.
You can talk to them through the doorbell. You can see a package get dropped off. You can see who rang while you were at work. We set up the alerts with you so your phone buzzes for people at the door, not for every car that drives by.
What a doorbell camera will not do
It will not lock the door. It is not an alarm system.
A doorbell camera shows you the front door. It does not cover the back door, the side yard, or the garage. If the Wi-Fi at the porch is weak, the video can lag or drop. If the old doorbell wires are bad, the camera may need new power before it goes up. We check all of that before you buy anything, and we tell you straight.
What we look at before we recommend a Ring
Start with a photo of your front door. Then our team comes to the house. We check power, the chime, and the Wi-Fi in person. You do not have to figure it out.

You may not need a floodlight.
Some homes only need the doorbell. We will say so.

Doorbell Camera — Common Questions
Can I put a Ring on my old doorbell?
Maybe. Our team has to see the door first.
Does a Ring still ring inside the house?
It should. That is why he checks your chime.
My Wi-Fi is fine. Why does the porch matter?
The camera is on the porch, not in the living room.
What is a Ring floodlight camera?
It is a camera with lights for the garage or the backyard. It is not the doorbell.
Do I need a floodlight too?
Not always. We will tell you.
